With six championships, Bob Loomis has more NRHA Open Futurity victories than any other rider in the industry. Not only is Bob in the NRHA Hall of Fame; but so is his phenomenal stallion, Topsail Whiz.

Bob has been training reining horses since 1967. He began his breeding program in 1974, which now operates at the cutting edge of equine reproduction. He is the #1 breeder of reining horses.

Loomis Ranch currently stands Cromed Out Mercedes (2009 NRBC Champion).

Bob also trained and stood Topsail Whiz (NRHA's first $8 million sire), West Coast Whiz (two-time reserve NRHA Derby champion, Million Dollar Sire), and Topsail Cody (NRHA's 4th Million Dollar Sire, NRHA Open Futurity Champion, and AQHA World Champion Junior Reining).

Loomis Ranch Longhorns

The Texas Longhorn has been a part of my life for many years. I got my first animals when I still lived in Nebraska. We picked up our first big influence of horn when we bought young animals from Johnnie Hoffman and Blackie Graves. We want to thank the people that put our program where it is today. In the 90's we were using blend bulls. When we put Butler bulls on blend cows we got the horn kick we were looking for. Coach, Tommie and then Farlap have given us a strong base that we continue to build on. We are loving what we are seeing and it's even better to see what these cows are producing with our bull JP Rio Grande.
